over beagles.
John and Jerry with a rabbit that they both had to
pick up together since Jerry weighed it down with a lot of lead!!!
Three shots worth to be exact, but the bottom line is, he got the

Dad and Jerry with; Red, Spike, Buddy, Lace, Holly
and Chip and some rabbits taken during the days hunt.
First rabbit of the day, taken by Steven in a marsh.
Steven showing some of the hounds a rabbit they ran for two hours
before we were able to take it. I have to tell you that it sounded
great listening to the hounds run that rabbit no matter how many
tricks he threw at them. I think we all needed a break after that
one!!
Dad and Steven with Red, Spike, Comet, Holly, Lace, Buddy and Chip
in the back with some rabbits we harvested. For some reason the
rabbits ran more like deer on this day making for exceptionally
large circles running well ahead of the hounds.
Trying to sneak out the back way wasn't such a good idea for this
rabbit. My .410 over/under made him pay for his decision.
Me with Chip, Holly, Lace & Buddy on a hunt with my friends.
Hey Bobby Nette I sure wish you could come & hunt with us!!!
Steven showing Rita & Red a rabbit taken with the first shot from his new over/under .410

Tom,
I just wanted to say thanks again for
the for the invitation at Salamonie Reservoir, Kyle & I really enjoyed
ourselves and learned a lot on the do's and don'ts of rabbit hunting with
beagles. Kyle thought that Chip was a real "ACE" in the field, I thought all of
the dogs did great. I just hope that my dog does as well as yours in the future.
I also valued your Dad's experience in the field, I could tell by talking to him
that he's had a quite a few hunts under his belt. Next time you get down this way
call me so we can do it again....again thanks for a great time!!
Rick & Kyle
